FINAL TRIM GRADER OPERATOR

We are seeking highly skilled, highly motivated final trim grader operators to join our team. Brycon Civil is based in Tamworth NSW with most of the work between Tamworth and Armidale as well as The North West and Mid North Coast so a willingness to work away and stay away from home is a must.
Our Grader fleet consists of the Latest Nextgen Cat M series Graders and Latest John Deere 770GP Graders running Trimble Earthworks GPS and UTS and maintained to the highest standard.

Immediate start in the New Year

Job Tasks and a responsibilities:


– Completion of all necessary paperwork

– pre-starts, daily plant inspections, WHS
documentation, keeping the machine clean and tidy

– Proven final trim experience without machine control on Construction projects

– Proven final trim experience using Trimble GPS & UTS machine control

– experienced in All aspects of roadworks and working under live traffic conditions.

– Be motivated to achieve the best outcome in all situations.

– Previous experience on Roads & Maritime

– Services Projects or Detailed Earthworks Projects are highly desirable.

Skills and experience

Desirable Criteria:

– Minimum of 5 years experience in grader operations in civil construction to a final trim standard

– Relevant tickets and licences

– Ability to complete tasks within timeframes and budgets, work unsupervised and the ability to lead a crew completing heavy patching, road construction and deep lifts.

– Strong reporting skills

– Strong skills in time management and self motivated

– High range communication skills – verbal and written, good listening skills

Requirements to be successful:

  • An unrestricted HC licence preferable
  • Minimum of 3 years demonstrated truck driving experience
  • Ideally you will have experience in road construction, earthworks, road Stabilisation and drainage
  • A good driving history with the ability to provide your RMS driving record
  • A Safety-first attitude
  • Understanding of Chain of Responsibility, fatigue management and NHV logbook requirements
